Faculty – Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering

About the role

The institution seeks a full‑time faculty member to deliver effective instruction in Mechanical and Mechatronics engineering to second‑language learners. The role involves teaching, assessment, student advising, applied research and participation in college and community activities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver practical, applied courses aligned with syllabus and program goals, using educational technology resources.
• Assess student learning through tests, projects, assignments and provide continuous feedback.
• Advise and mentor students, including at‑risk learners and those on internships or work placements.
• Conduct applied research relevant to the division’s interests and national innovation agenda, and present findings at conferences.
• Participate in faculty, program and system‑wide committees, and serve as sponsor or adviser to student groups.
• Maintain teaching facilities, prepare course assessment files, and contribute to curriculum revision and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least 5 years of combined teaching and industry experience; a Bachelor’s may be considered with extensive industry experience.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in the relevant discipline and preferably 3 years of industry experience.
• Experience developing curriculum to meet accreditation and international standards and incorporating educational technology in instruction.
