Faculty Member – Business Accounting

About the role

The position is a faculty appointment within the Business (Accounting) discipline, responsible for delivering high‑quality instruction to second‑language learners in a student‑centric environment. The role combines teaching, assessment, advising, research and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver accounting courses aligned with syllabus and program goals, using practical and applied teaching methods.
• Utilize educational technology and learning management systems to enhance instruction and provide diverse assessment tools.
• Monitor student progress, give continuous feedback, and support at‑risk students through advising and mentorship.
• Conduct applied research relevant to the faculty’s interests and national innovation priorities, and present findings at conferences.
• Participate in college, faculty and system‑wide committees, and serve as sponsor or adviser to student groups and community initiatives.
• Contribute to the development and preservation of institutional policies and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant academic qualification in Accounting or Business with a strong record of teaching.
• Experience teaching in a multilingual or second‑language environment.
• Demonstrated ability to engage students, provide mentorship and support academic success.
• Commitment to research, community service and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technology tools.
