Faculty Position in Computer Science

About the role

The Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at the College of Information Technology, United Arab Emirates University, seeks a highly qualified academic to join its faculty. The successful candidate will contribute to both undergraduate and graduate programmes through excellence in teaching, research, and service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lectures, labs and tutorials for undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science, Software Engineering, and related areas.
• Develop and sustain an externally funded research programme in fields such as robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and software engineering.
• Publish research findings in refereed journals and conferences.
• Mentor graduate students and supervise theses.
• Participate in departmental and university service activities, including curriculum development and accreditation.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrated record of research accomplishments and experience in securing research grants.
• Strong commitment to innovative teaching methods, including blended and interactive learning.
• Ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses.
• Preference given to candidates at the Assistant Professor level.
