Family Medicine Specialist – Primary Care

About the role

HealthPlus Family Health Center is seeking an experienced Family Medicine Specialist to deliver comprehensive, patient‑centred primary care across its clinics in Al Bandar, Al Forsan and Saadiyat Island. The role focuses on preventive care, early diagnosis, treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and continuity of care for patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Provide assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow‑up for acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Manage common primary‑care presentations including respiratory, gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, endocrine and musculoskeletal issues.
• Oversee long‑term disease management for diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidaemia and other chronic illnesses.
• Deliver preventive services such as health screenings, vaccinations, risk assessments and lifestyle counselling.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to governance and patient‑safety standards.
• Participate in quality‑improvement, clinical audit and continuous professional development activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognised institution and board‑certified or postgraduate qualification in Family Medicine.
• Professional licence to practise as a Family Medicine Specialist in Abu Dhabi.
• Relevant post‑specialisation experience in family medicine or primary care.
• Strong clinical judgement, ability to manage a diverse patient population independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient‑centred approach.
• Commitment to evidence‑based medicine, patient safety and continuity of care.
