Family Medicine Specialist – Primary Care Physician

About the role

The Specialist, Family Medicine provides comprehensive primary healthcare to patients of all ages, delivering preventive, diagnostic, and therapeutic services. You will act as a trusted provider, coordinating care across specialties and ensuring continuity within granted clinical privileges.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver primary care services, including routine health assessments, preventive screenings, and wellness exams.
• Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, and cardiovascular disease.
• Perform minor medical procedures within the scope of clinical privileges.
• Assess mental health concerns and arrange appropriate treatment or referrals.
• Coordinate patient care with specialists, allied health professionals, and community providers.
• Interpret laboratory, radiology, and diagnostic results to guide clinical decisions.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and comply with safety, infection control, and quality standards.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, audits, and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB, MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution.
• Completed residency training in Family Medicine and specialist qualification recognized by the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi.
• Valid DOH license for Family Medicine.
• 3‑5 years of post‑specialization experience in family medicine or primary care.
• Strong clinical expertise across all age groups and excellent communication skills.
