Farm Manager

About the role

A full-time Farm Manager is sought to oversee daily farm operations, manage agricultural resources and ensure efficient, sustainable production. The role suits someone who enjoys working with nature, leading teams and applying practical strategies to improve productivity and farm performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily farm operations, including planting, cultivation, harvesting and general maintenance.
• Develop and implement farm management plans to maximise productivity and operational efficiency.
• Supervise farm workers, assign duties and monitor team performance.
• Manage agricultural resources, equipment, supplies and inventory.
• Monitor crop health, soil conditions, irrigation systems and pest control activities.
• Ensure fertilisers, pesticides and other inputs are used in line with applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of production, expenses, labour and farm activities.
• Monitor budgets, control operating costs and identify ways to improve profitability.
• Ensure compliance with agricultural standards, environmental requirements and workplace safety procedures.
• Evaluate production performance and implement improvements for sustainable farm growth.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of farming practices, crop production or agricultural operations.
• Good leadership, team management and organisational skills.
• Ability to plan daily activities and manage several operational priorities.
