F&B Hostess - QE2 Hotel

About the role

The QE2, a floating hotel and lifestyle destination celebrating its British maritime heritage, is looking for a full-time F&B Hostess in Dubai. The hostess presents the establishment's friendliness, excellent service and high standards to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival, tell them their wait time, monitor the waiting list, enter names into the computer system, show guests to their table and bid them farewell.
• Tell guests about current promotions and who will serve them so the handoff to service staff is smooth.
• Answer incoming calls to the restaurant and provide appropriate service.
• Issue dining charges by verifying orders, calculating taxes, totalling bills for to-go orders and receiving payments by validating credit charges, approving checks and accepting currency.
• Handle guest reservations, table allocation, dietary requirements and billing from the reservation system.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Hospitality background preferred.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Micros.
• Ability to focus on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.
