F&B Support Expert (Busboy)

About the role

Al Maha, a Luxury Collection Desert Resort & Spa in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, is hiring a full-time, non-management F&B Support Expert (busboy). The role supports food and beverage operations so that guests receive smooth, memorable service: setting tables, assisting the kitchen, cleaning work areas and replenishing supplies.

Key responsibilities

• Guest relations: welcome guests warmly, anticipate their needs, thank them and give a friendly farewell.
• Food and beverage service: keep work and guest areas clean, clear and collect used items, and follow clean-as-you-go procedures.
• Set tables according to event type and service standards, including linens, glassware, china and flatware, and inspect them before use.
• Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food.
• Requisition supplies, including bottle-for-bottle liquor restocking, and transport supplies from storeroom to bar set-up area.
• Opening and closing: complete inventory checks of supplies, food and liquor, store reusable goods, clean equipment and areas, lock refrigerators and doors, and complete the daily cleaning checklist.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues, and work cooperatively with other departments.

Required profile

• No related work experience is required; previous experience in a food and beverage environment is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.
• Higher education, diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Dependable, organized, able to multi-task and tolerate stress.

Required skills

• Interpersonal skills, teamwork and communication.
• English language proficiency.
