Field Operator – Energy

About the role

The Field Operator – Energy will ensure smooth, continuous operation of gas and steam turbines, HRSGs, potline rectifiers and related utility services at the Jebel Ali site. Working under the Shift Supervisor or Main Control Room Operator, the role focuses on safe, efficient plant performance.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor turbines, boilers and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
• Record routine parameter readings, report deviations and inform supervisors of any abnormalities.
• Maintain standby equipment readiness for emergencies and assist with testing/re‑commissioning after outages.
• Adopt safe working practices, identify hazards, and participate in the reporting system.
• Ensure good housekeeping and be fully conversant with emergency procedures.

Required profile

• Higher Secondary School Certificate.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a power station and 2 years as a Desalination Operator (PG7) or equivalent.
• Ability to read single‑line diagrams and prepare shift reports in English.
