Field Service Technician

About the role

Rapiscan Systems is looking for motivated Field Service Technicians to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for advanced cargo scanning and vehicle inspection systems, ensuring reliable operation for high‑visibility customers at ports, borders and other critical sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Level 1 and Level 2 maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Cargo Vehicle Inspection (CVI) hardware, electrical and software components.
• Diagnose and resolve technical faults to minimise system downtime.
• Support installation teams during system deployment, including configuration and initial testing.
• Escalate complex issues to Level 3 engineers and provide clear oral and written reports.
• Complete daily and weekly service documentation and update internal databases.

Required profile

• Experience in field service, maintenance or repair of mechanical or electrical equipment.
• Ability to work independently in harsh or remote environments and as part of a team.
• Comfort with power tools and hand tools.
• Willingness to receive full training on Rapiscan’s cargo scanning technology.
