Field Service Technician (UAE National)

About the role

TechnipFMC is hiring a UAE National Field Service Technician in Abu Dhabi. The technician supports and carries out the installation, testing, repair and maintenance of new and reworked TechnipFMC or other brand equipment and tools, onshore and offshore, under field conditions, including job preparation and delivery in international environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform service jobs, training and other tasks as directed, ensuring equipment, tooling and spare parts are present and fit for use before each job.
• Record and document critical data such as dimensions, weights, temperatures, pressures and flow rates, and complete safety documentation and safe work practices.
• Prepare field service orders and charges work orders, submit field service reports, job logs and non-conformance reports with part and serial numbers.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external stakeholders and act as a professional customer interface, handling complaints and suggesting improvements.
• Follow the company's Quality Management System, QHSE requirements and code of ethics, and uphold duty of care with risk assessments and life-saving rules (confined spaces, energy isolation, work permits, fall protection).
• Install, test and repair equipment and tools, perform calculations and verification checks (space outs, equipment status, test pressures), and work as part of a team.
• Assist with project support, including Factory Acceptance Tests and Systems Integration Tests, and complete assigned training and competency assessments.
• Report daily to the Service Project Manager, escalate critical issues, support Management of Change processes, and report equipment defects via Field Non-Conformance Reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma, apprenticeship or equivalent technical diploma; bachelor's degree preferred; work experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
• 0-6 months of oil and gas experience; 3-5 years of professional work history in lieu of advanced schooling.
• Safety certifications such as T-BOSIET, H2S, ADNOC safety inductions, CPR, TechnipFMC service skills training, OGUK or equivalent medical screening, and a valid driving licence.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, use technical tools and instruments, and read, write and speak English professionally; Arabic is a plus.
• Proactive attitude, teamwork in a fast-paced environment, and expectation to progress to the next level of Field Service Technician within 24 months.
