Finance & Business Support Manager – Pre-Opening

About the role

We are seeking a Finance & Business Support Manager to lead the financial set‑up of the new voco Sharjah hotel. You will be responsible for establishing robust financial processes, ensuring compliance, and driving profitability during the pre‑opening phase and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Finance & Business Support team and provide strategic financial guidance to hotel leadership.
• Drive the annual budget, business plan, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning processes.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, management reports, and performance analyses.
• Monitor hotel performance through financial and operational KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with IHG policies, accounting standards, local tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management.
• Strengthen financial controls, governance, and risk management to protect assets.
• Partner with department heads on commercial decisions, cost‑control initiatives, and operational improvements.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel finance or a comparable hospitality environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
• Ability to lead a team and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
