Finance Manager - Africa & Special Projects

About the role

The Finance Manager will ensure accurate financial management, robust internal controls, and regulatory compliance across DP World’s African operations and special projects. You will support the Offshore Management team, drive cost‑saving initiatives, and provide strategic financial insights to optimise profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end closing, balance‑sheet reconciliations and financial reporting for multiple African jurisdictions.
• Monitor vessel movements, allocate operational costs and recommend expenditure optimisation.
• Review contracts, invoicing and receivable positions to ensure timely collections.
• Manage cash flow, liquidity, foreign‑exchange exposure and working‑capital across assigned business units.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting and variance analysis against approved plans.
• Coordinate tax compliance, tax‑efficient structures and statutory audit processes.
• Collaborate with procurement to resolve supplier payments and ensure policy adherence.
• Support finance transformation initiatives, updating processes, systems and controls.

Required profile

• Strong finance background with experience in multi‑jurisdictional environments, preferably Africa.
• Proven ability to manage cash flow, working capital and foreign‑exchange risks.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of tax compliance, statutory reporting and audit coordination.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
