Finance Manager – Audit Experienced (Big4 Background)

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead financial operations at our headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will drive financial planning, reporting, and compliance while providing strategic guidance to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organisational objectives.
• Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts and financial models for executive decision‑making.
• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations including accounting, cash flow and treasury management.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and management reports in compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring audit readiness and timely closure of findings.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk‑management frameworks and governance practices.
• Monitor financial performance, provide variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks and regulatory authorities.
• Oversee payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger functions.
• Provide financial insights to support business decisions, investments and cost optimisation.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration (Master’s/MBA preferred).
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA or CFA.
• 6–8 years progressive finance and accounting experience, including managerial responsibility.
• Strong audit experience (internal and/or external) with a background in a Big 4 firm considered a strong advantage.
• Experience in aviation, oil & gas or construction sectors is highly desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (or similar ERP systems).
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modelling and analysis.
