Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead the finance function of a fast‑growing climate‑tech startup. You will own financial planning, budgeting, reporting and accounting controls while partnering closely with senior leadership and an outsourced finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial model for the company.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast updates.
• Track budget versus actual performance and explain key variances.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decisions, new projects, partnerships and investments.
• Prepare monthly management reports, dashboards and board‑meeting materials.
• Oversee the outsourced accounting team, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, general‑ledger management and timely month‑end/year‑end close.
• Review purchase requisitions, monitor department spending and flag financial risks early.
• Manage cash position, runway, payments, collections and forecast liquidity needs.

Required profile

• Minimum six years of relevant finance experience (approximately 72 months).
• Proven ability to work with leadership and external finance partners.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
• Experience in a high‑growth or startup environment is a plus.
