Finance Officer

About the role

As a Finance Officer you will oversee the organization’s financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with UAE regulations and efficient cash management. You will work closely with management to provide financial insights and support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow) in line with IFRS and UAE regulations.
• Perform bank reconciliations, manage cash flow, and handle accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with the Federal Tax Authority requirements.
• Process payroll according to UAE Labour Law and the Wage Protection System, including salaries, overtime, deductions and end‑of‑service benefits.
• Conduct financial analysis, produce reports and presentations for management, and advise on performance trends.
• Manage foreign remittance transactions, currency exchange and related regulatory compliance.
• Enter and maintain accurate financial data in accounting software and keep up‑to‑date financial documentation.

Required profile

• CPA or ACCA qualification (or pathway) preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE tax law and payroll regulations.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Zoho, QuickBooks or SAP.
• Solid understanding of financial accounting, VAT, payroll processing and foreign remittance procedures.
