Financial Analyst – Retail Division

About the role

The Financial Analyst will support the Retail Division of Mohamed Hilal Group by delivering accurate financial analysis to guide commercial and operational decisions. You will work closely with Finance, Retail Operations, Brand, Merchandising and Commercial teams to uncover trends, risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse sales, revenue, gross margin, operating expenses and profitability across stores, brands and locations.
• Prepare store‑level profitability reports, track key retail KPIs and provide actionable recommendations.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting and periodic re‑forecasting, including variance analysis.
• Conduct financial performance reviews of stores and brands, identify under‑performing locations and support improvement plans.
• Analyse inventory, markdowns, promotions and commercial initiatives for financial impact.
• Develop financial models for new store openings, expansions and strategic projects.
• Produce regular financial and commercial performance reports and dashboards for senior management.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A or commercial finance, preferably in a multi‑store retail environment.
• Strong analytical, numerical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to translate financial data into clear business insights and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Proactive, independent and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, financial modelling).
• Experience with ERP and retail management systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
