Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will serve as the primary financial liaison for assigned projects, working closely with Project Managers, Commercial teams, and Project Controls. You will be responsible for preparing regular financial reports, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and supporting cash‑flow and payroll processes.

Key responsibilities

• Compile monthly and quarterly project financial reports in the required format.
• Ensure timely revenue recognition and adherence to IFRS standards.
• Manage cost control, monitoring actual costs against budgets and maintaining data integrity between Oracle ERP and project reporting.
• Provide ad‑hoc financial and risk analysis to aid project decision‑making.
• Maintain a database of project costs and support tender pricing and contract claims.
• Oversee cash‑management activities, including billing, invoice collection, and prioritising vendor payments.
• Supervise project accountants, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with auditors, banks, clients, partners and suppliers.
• Oversee monthly payroll processing, validate salary changes, and manage end‑of‑service benefit calculations in line with UAE Labour Law.
• Monitor capital expenditures, ensure proper asset capitalization, monthly depreciation, and asset disposals.
• Generate payroll and fixed‑asset reports and drive process‑automation improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• CPA, CMA or CA accreditation is a plus.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably within project‑oriented industries.
