Financial Controller

About the role

Edenred UAE, a fast-growing payroll service provider serving thousands of businesses and millions of employees, is hiring a Financial Controller in Dubai. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Operations, you will first lead the FP&A function, covering for the FP&A Manager during maternity leave, then move into the Financial Controller position, owning the Finance & Accounting function and leading the team toward accurate reporting, strong governance and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• FP&A: prepare monthly income reports and P&L reviews with variance analysis, lead annual budgeting, bi-annual forecasting and the 3-year strategic plan, and build executive financial presentations
• Automate reporting and dashboards with Power BI and other visualisation tools, and run financial modelling and scenario analysis
• Finance & accounting: lead month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, including reconciliations, accruals and provisions
• Lead the annual external audit and internal audit reviews, and ensure compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements and corporate governance
• Maintain internal controls, financial policies and procedures, and review tax entries and VAT returns
• Support billing and payment accuracy with Finance, Operations and Commercial teams, and drive process improvement and automation

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CPA preferred
• 7-10 years of FP&A experience in corporate or commercial finance
• Experience in fintech, payments, financial services, technology or multinationals is advantageous
• Fluent English
