Financial & Regulatory Reporting - Senior Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Specialist in Financial & Regulatory Reporting to lead the monthly close process, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and drive the implementation of IFRS initiatives across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Adhere to the monthly financial statement close calendar and ensure timely reporting.
• Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with finance teams to gather data and guarantee accuracy in financial reports.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting financial reporting and proactively address compliance impacts.
• Identify, develop, and implement new accounting processes, including IFRS 16, IFRS 9, and IFRS 15.
• Stay updated on IFRS developments and assess their impact on the company.
• Conduct external benchmarking and analysis to maintain best practices.
• Work closely with senior members of accounting, treasury, business performance, and financial planning to roll out IFRS changes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in financial reporting or regulatory compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Professional finance certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent.
