Fine Arts Teacher – Drawing, Painting & Digital Media

About the role

Diyar Private Academy is looking for a dynamic Fine Arts Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction in drawing, painting, photography and digital media. The successful candidate will create an inspiring classroom environment that nurtures creativity and supports the holistic development of each student.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the school’s Fine Arts curriculum and ensure full coverage of drawing, painting, lettering and art history.
• Design and deliver engaging lessons that incorporate traditional techniques such as acrylic painting, dry brushing, staining, layering and underpainting.
• Maintain an organised, resource‑rich classroom with appropriate displays and materials.
• Plan differentiated programmes to meet the needs of all pupils and promote personal and social learning.
• Monitor student progress, report attainment to the governing body and assist in resource selection.
• Collaborate with department heads and senior staff on curriculum development, assessment and professional practice.
• Participate in staff development, training courses and uphold health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education in Fine Arts/Visual Arts or a related Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in fine arts.
• Ability to teach life drawing and painting to a high standard.
• Strong analytical and critical teaching approach.
• Warm, accessible, caring and enthusiastic personality.
• Commitment to high expectations and continuous professional growth.

Required skills

• Proficiency in drawing, painting, lettering and art history.
• Knowledge of acrylic techniques, dry brushing, staining, layering and underpainting.
• Experience with photography and digital media instruction.
