Fintech Internship – Financial Controller Support

About the role

Join Talabat, the leading food‑delivery platform in the UAE, as a Fintech Intern supporting the Financial Controller. You will help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial controls across multiple fintech product lines.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with periodic financial reconciliations, validating data and identifying discrepancies.
• Track and follow up on open items to support smooth month‑end and period‑end closures.
• Perform variance analysis against benchmarks and flag anomalies for senior review.
• Monitor expense deviations and help mitigate operational risks.
• Maintain and update financial logs, reconciliation trackers, and audit documentation.
• Continuously verify the completeness and accuracy of financial records.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or a related quantitative field.
• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage recurring monitoring tasks consistently and proactively.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas).
• Google Sheets proficiency (data manipulation, advanced formulas).
