Fire Training Officer

About the role

The Fire Training Officer provides 24‑hour emergency response and leads fire‑training activities across ADNOC Offshore’s island facilities. The role ensures fire safety, conducts training, and acts as incident commander during emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the Island Fire Training Centre and ensure all training meets ADNOC Fire Service policies and standards.
• Assume incident commander duties during fire, hydrocarbon, toxic‑gas releases, rescue and medical emergencies until relieved by a senior officer.
• Develop and deliver training aids, scenarios and simulated exercises for fire service personnel, UAE nationals, contractors and auxiliary fire teams.
• Conduct daily inspections of offshore facilities to verify compliance with HSE regulations, fire codes and standards; compile related reports.
• Oversee testing, maintenance and competency verification of fire‑fighting vehicles, marine firefighting tugs and major fire‑main components.
• Provide instruction on the operation and maintenance of carbon‑dioxide/air compressors, bulk dry‑chemical filling machines and breathing‑apparatus test rigs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in fire service operations and emergency response.
• Ability to supervise fire‑service personnel and auxiliary teams.
• Knowledge of HSE regulations, fire codes and safety standards.
• Experience delivering fire‑training programmes and conducting realistic emergency simulations.
