About the role
The Flight Operations Safety Specialist will interpret Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) and operational safety data to identify hazards, assess risks, and support proactive safety management across Air Arabia Group.
Key responsibilities
- Provide operational interpretation of FDM exceedances, trends, SOP application and aircraft handling characteristics.
- Conduct proactive monitoring and analysis of safety data to identify trends, emerging threats and operational hazards.
- Perform operational risk assessments, evaluate existing controls and recommend additional mitigations.
- Review, assess and close safety reports submitted by flight crew in line with Just Culture principles.
- Lead crew engagement activities, debriefings and safety promotion sessions.
Required profile
- Commercial airline pilot with at least 5 years of flight operations experience.
- Strong knowledge of SOPs, Airbus aircraft systems, ICAO Annex 19 and GCAA CAR SMS requirements.
- Experience with Flight Data Monitoring (FDM/FOQA) and operational risk assessment methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and report‑writing skills.
