Floral Designer - Floral Operations

About the role

Wynn Al Marjan Island, the first integrated resort in the UAE set to open in 2027, is looking for a Floral Designer to join its Floral Operations team. The role covers floral arrangements for public areas, guest and departmental orders, and maintenance of fresh flowers in the workshop.

Key responsibilities

• Consult the Floral Supervisor for approval of any major changes.
• Handle all floral arrangements for public areas, in-house guests and departmental orders in the floral workshop.
• Maintain fresh flowers, replace them on a maintenance schedule and change water regularly; keep the workshop clean and tidy.
• Store flowers properly in the fridge.
• Help with banqueting work and special-function flowers, and set up and track arrangements in public areas, restaurants, the executive office and other required areas daily.
• Assist the Supervisor with large-scale flower arrangements and accept other duties assigned by the Floral Supervisor or Assistant Manager.
• Interact professionally with departments, management and contractors, and follow health and safety standards.
• Clean the office, take part in the recycling programme and follow company grooming standards.

Required profile

• 2 years' experience in a 5-star integrated hotel or resort.
• Previous commercial floral experience preferred; experience with large events, big-scale weddings and shows also preferred.
• Experience in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
• Fluent English; familiar with Western, Asian and Middle Eastern flower design.
• Good computer knowledge (MS Office and Outlook).
• Proactive, creative and innovative, physically fit, able to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
