Forward Deployed Engineer - Infrastructure Specialist (Middle East)

About the role

Cohere, a security-first enterprise AI company, is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer Infrastructure Specialist for its North product, which gives enterprises a secure, customizable workspace to deploy AI while keeping control of sensitive data. The role sits between the product and client engineering teams, helping integrate AI securely into sectors such as finance, healthcare and telecommunications, with clients including RBC, Dell and LG CNS. Travel to customer premises is required 20-40%.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment of North in private cloud and on-premises environments, including planning, configuration, testing and rollout.
• Partner with enterprise IT teams to assess infrastructure, security requirements and data management practices.
• Design and implement deployment strategies tailored to client needs, in line with data privacy and security standards.
• Troubleshoot deployment-related technical issues and provide timely solutions to minimize downtime.
• Experiment at high velocity and high quality to engage customers and deliver solutions that exceed their expectations.

Required profile

• Experience deploying enterprise software in private or hybrid cloud environments.
• Proven experience administering large-scale production Kubernetes clusters and expertise with Helm.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Ability to work directly with customers and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Required skills

• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and tools like Git.
• Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), networking and virtualization.
• Bonus: familiarity with GPU node orchestration and scheduling, and understanding of GPU infrastructure, inference systems, Kubernetes, distributed systems and performance optimization.
