Founding Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Founding Engineer to join aradus, the AI operations layer for global trade. This equity‑first position will work directly with the founders to shape the product, engineering culture, and company trajectory while building core AI‑driven systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement autonomous AI agents that process unstructured trade data and execute multi‑step workflows.
• Build resilient, scalable data pipelines for third‑party integrations with strict idempotency, deduplication, and retry mechanisms.
• Drive core platform architecture across a multi‑tenant Next.js/TypeScript frontend and a Go backend (chi, huma, pgx), including real‑time syncs and event‑driven background jobs.
• Create AI infrastructure primitives such as modular tool layers, reusable extraction frameworks, evaluation harnesses, and versioned prompts/schemas.
• Engage with users to understand global‑trade complexities and translate insights directly into product improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience building agentic AI systems with tool calling, multi‑step reasoning, and structured outputs.
• Strong infrastructure mindset, favoring modularity, clean abstractions, and reusable primitives.
• Startup DNA with a bias toward rapid iteration and ownership of end‑to‑end solutions.

• Go (including chi router and pgx driver)
