Frontend Engineer (Vue.js, TypeScript)

About the role

A growing financial technology company that builds digital payment and financial services for a large user base is hiring a Frontend Engineer. You will help modernize customer-facing banking websites and internal back-office systems using Vue.js and TypeScript, working with product managers, designers, backend engineers and QA colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Take features from requirements and design through implementation, release and production monitoring.
• Clarify business rules, shape frontend solutions and align API needs with backend teams.
• Migrate legacy JSP systems in phases while keeping banking operations running.
• Contribute to code reviews, shared UI standards, frontend architecture and engineering practices.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of professional experience building secure web frontend applications with JavaScript or a language that compiles to JavaScript.
• At least 1 year of experience with Vue.js or React; Vue.js experience is preferred.
• Sound understanding of software engineering best practices and computer science fundamentals.
• Business-level English and clear communication with cross-functional teams.
• Professional experience using AI or large language model tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot or Gemini in software development.
• Collaborative approach with strong ownership of delivery and problem-solving.
• Native Japanese or JLPT N1/N2 is preferred.
