Full Stack Engineer

About the role

NorthBay is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join its AI‑driven platform team in Abu Dhabi. You will design, develop and maintain end‑to‑end web applications that combine modern front‑end experiences with robust back‑end services, enabling seamless integration of large language model capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable full‑stack applications using React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js and Nest.js.
• Build responsive, accessible front‑end components and reusable UI patterns.
• Develop secure back‑end services, micro‑services and RESTful APIs.
• Integrate third‑party services and AI/LLM APIs into product workflows.
• Work with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
• Implement authentication, authorization and role‑based access controls.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product managers and designers to deliver AI‑powered features.
• Optimize performance, conduct code reviews and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in architectural discussions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of full‑stack development experience.
• Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with modern front‑end frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js or similar).
• Proven expertise in Node.js and Nest.js for back‑end development.
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and implementing security best practices.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
• Exposure to AI/LLM platforms or AI API integrations is a plus.
