Gardener – Landscaping & Grounds

About the role

Join Sheraton Hotels & Resorts in Sharjah as a Gardener, responsible for maintaining the visual appeal and functionality of the hotel’s outdoor spaces. You will work hands‑on to keep gardens, lawns, fountains and irrigation systems in top condition.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the appearance of grounds, fountains, planters and other landscape features.
• Plant, replace and transplant flowers, bulbs, trees, shrubs and grass.
• Water, weed, trim and prune flower beds, baskets and shrubbery.
• Mow, edge, rake leaves and perform general lawn care, including areas inaccessible to standard mowers.
• Install, maintain and operate irrigation systems.
• Operate dump trucks, tractors and other utility vehicles to transport equipment, supplies and debris.
• Clean, refuel and perform routine maintenance on all equipment after use.
• Collect and bag trash from exterior bins and ensure the site remains tidy.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related landscaping or grounds‑keeping experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Operation of dump trucks and tractors.
• Irrigation system maintenance.
• Use of mowing, edging and pruning equipment.
• Equipment cleaning and refueling procedures.
