Garment Technologist – Kidswear

About the role

The Garment Technologist for Kidswear will work closely with design and buying teams to develop and approve technical documentation. You will ensure that samples and bulk production meet fit, quality, safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and approve tech packs and spec sheets in collaboration with design and buying teams.
• Conduct and manage fit sessions, ensuring garments meet fit and measurement standards.
• Provide clear feedback to vendors on sample construction, finishing and fit improvements.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and regulatory standards such as AQL, REACH and CPSIA.
• Collaborate with suppliers and factories to troubleshoot production issues and verify feasibility.
• Review and approve fabric tests, lab reports and wash care labels.
• Work with the QA team to define inspection criteria and monitor bulk production quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sample comments, approvals and development timelines.
• Participate in vendor evaluations and capability assessments as needed.
