Gas Turbine Cleanline Operator

About the role

We are looking for a Gas Turbine Cleanline Operator to join Sulzer’s engineering team. The role involves cleaning and processing rotating equipment such as aeroderivative gas turbines, pumps, compressors and steam turbines in a workshop environment, supporting the company’s commitment to quality, safety and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Clean rotating equipment components, including gas turbines, pumps, compressors and steam turbines.
• Process components in chemical tanks and perform grit and vapour blasting.
• Hand‑clean various parts and operate a ball burnishing machine.
• Identify and suggest improvements to quality standards within the department.
• Observe health, safety and environmental procedures and report any hazards.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the company.

Required profile

• No formal qualifications required; full training will be provided.
• Previous experience in a clean‑line or workshop setting is preferred.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical instructions.
• Flexible, team‑oriented and capable of working independently.

Required skills

• Operation of a ball burnishing machine.
• Grit blasting and vapour blasting of components.
• Hand cleaning of rotating equipment parts.
• Processing of components in chemical tanks.
