General Accountant – Full‑time

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑driven General Accountant to own the full accounting cycle within a multi‑entity, international environment. The role is based in Dubai and offers the chance to work on a variety of financial processes, from daily transactions to month‑end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger and financial reporting.
• Prepare, reconcile and analyse financial statements and tax declarations.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and year‑end closing activities in line with IFRS standards.
• Support internal and external audits and contribute to ad‑hoc finance projects.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders on accounting matters.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, CMA) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Experience in the aviation industry is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE VAT and corporate tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Residency in the UAE and ability to join on short notice.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
