About the role
The General Fitter is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment and systems within the hotel property, ensuring reliable operation and safety.
Key responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues promptly.
- Install, dismantle, and assemble mechanical components using appropriate tools.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications for accurate repairs.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and repairs.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to prioritize and schedule tasks.
Required profile
- Experience in mechanical maintenance within a hospitality or similar environment.
- Ability to work safely and comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and participate in training.
Required skills
- Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
- Use of mechanical tools and equipment for installation and repair.
- Preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
