General Manager – Holiday Homes Operations

About the role

The General Manager will lead the holiday homes business, overseeing all operational, financial and guest‑experience aspects. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, ensuring high service standards and expanding the property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute revenue strategies to boost occupancy, ADR and RevPAR.
• Lead the sales team to meet monthly, quarterly and annual targets and increase direct bookings.
• Oversee dynamic pricing models based on market trends and demand forecasting.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations including housekeeping, maintenance, guest relations and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with property owners and maintenance teams to maintain portfolio standards.
• Negotiate and manage relationships with vendors, service providers and contractors.
• Prepare, monitor and control the annual operating budget and operational expenses.
• Provide regular financial reports analysing occupancy, revenue and cost metrics.
• Lead, mentor and develop a multidisciplinary team, set performance goals and oversee recruitment.
• Research and implement strategies to expand the holiday homes portfolio.
• Work with marketing to design promotional campaigns and drive brand recognition.
• Implement technology solutions such as PMS, CRM and booking platforms.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, licences and health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing hospitality or holiday‑home operations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on revenue optimisation.
• Knowledge of regulatory and health‑and‑safety requirements in the hospitality sector.
