About the role

The General Manager – Mall will lead the strategic direction, operational efficiency, and profitability of the shopping malls under management. This senior role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and deep knowledge of retail and F&B operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences while driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue growth, tenant satisfaction, and increased footfall.
  • Oversee daily mall operations, including retail, F&B, entertainment, security, facilities management, and customer service.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse team of senior managers and operational staff.
  • Monitor financial performance, prepare budgets, and ensure cost‑effective operations.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with tenants, investors, government authorities, and key stakeholders.
  • Drive marketing, events, and promotional activities to enhance mall visibility and attract target audiences.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, health, safety, and sustainability standards.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for improvement and expansion.
  • Implement advanced technology and innovation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and customer experience.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 12–15 years of senior leadership experience in mall operations, preferably in the UAE/GCC.
  • Proven track record of managing large‑scale shopping malls or retail complexes in the region.
  • Strong financial management, business development, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of UAE labour laws, retail regulations, and market trends.
  • Ability to drive innovation, enhance guest experiences, and deliver measurable business results.
