General Manager of Sales

About the role

Staffora HR Consultancy is seeking an experienced General Manager – Sales to lead and expand the sales function for a client in the UAE trading sector. The role involves setting strategy, driving revenue growth and strengthening market position across multiple business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the overall sales strategy to meet revenue and growth targets.
• Lead, mentor and manage the sales team across various business lines.
• Identify new markets, business opportunities and strategic partnerships.
• Build and maintain relationships with key clients, distributors and partners.
• Set sales targets, budgets and KPIs, and monitor performance.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform pricing and sales tactics.
• Collaborate on business planning, forecasting and P&L management.
• Oversee contract negotiations and approve major deals.
• Ensure high standards of customer service and client satisfaction.
• Report regularly to the Managing Director/CEO on performance and opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or related field (MBA a plus).
• 10–12 years of progressive sales experience, with at least 3–5 years in senior sales leadership.
• Proven track record of revenue growth, preferably in general trading.
• Mandatory UAE market experience and strong network in trading, distribution or B2B markets.
• Solid understanding of P&L management, budgeting and sales forecasting.
