General Practitioner

About the role

Royal Khalifa City Hospital Abu Dhabi is recruiting a General Practitioner. The role centres on delivering professional, ethical and high-quality clinical services to patients efficiently, while monitoring clinical risks, complying with clinical governance and quality standards, keeping accurate medical records and developing continuously.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert clinical care within your scope of work, building and sharing knowledge with colleagues and responding to client complaints promptly.
• Keep patients informed and involved in decisions affecting them, and complete tasks according to set procedures and guidelines.
• Report non-compliance to relevant stakeholders, evaluate the quality of your own work and contribute to quality assurance and continuous quality improvement.
• Work in all shifts as scheduled by the Head of Department and monitor clinical and other established indicators for quality assurance.
• Strictly follow originations regulations and policies, including infection control, patient safety, OSH, DOH, JCI and ISO.
• Take part in scheduled training such as ACLS, BLS, CNEs and CMEs, and exercise effective interpersonal skills with staff and management.
• Maintain confidentiality, respect hospital policies and procedures, and carry out other duties requested by the Head of Department.

Required profile

• At least 2-3 years' experience in a specialised department in a private hospital setting.
• Work experience from a Tier 1 country, as specified by the UAE healthcare regulator.
• Basic medical degree recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.
• Diploma or training in a speciality recognised by the relevant UAE healthcare authority.

Required skills

• Active and valid life support certification (e.g. BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS, NRP).
• Good communication, teamwork and ethical clinical practice.
