General Technician – Executive Apartments

About the role

The General Technician supports the Marriott Executive Apartments by responding promptly to guest repair requests and performing routine maintenance across the property. This full‑time, onsite position ensures that all mechanical, electrical, plumbing and building systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment and mechanical‑room assets.
• Inspect, test and troubleshoot air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Perform minor carpentry, painting, drywall and wood‑trim repairs, including light‑bulb and filter changes.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping and engineering inventory, and update air‑handler schedules.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Maintain landscaping, sprinkler systems and exterior repairs.
• Document daily activities and handover information to the next shift.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls and carpentry.
• Ability to follow safety, security and company policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and strong teamwork orientation.
• Physical capability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb without assistance.
