General Technician

About the role

The General Technician provides on‑site maintenance and repair services for guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities. You will respond to guest requests, perform preventive maintenance and ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical‑room assets and building systems.
• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic, and carpentry items.
• Carry out minor painting, drywall, wood‑trim repairs and complete clean‑up of work areas.
• Replace light bulbs, A/C filters, electrical switches, outlets and program televisions.
• Maintain landscaping, sprinkler systems and external building elements.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Document daily activities, inventory usage and communicate shift hand‑overs.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and carpentry.
• Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and adherence to safety policies.
• Clear communication skills and teamwork orientation.
