Geotechnical Engineer – Dubai

About the role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join its Dubai South team. You will lead the design and analysis of complex geotechnical solutions for major infrastructure projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and assess shallow and deep foundations, earthworks, slopes, excavations, and ground improvement measures.
• Conduct geotechnical investigations, prepare ground models, and perform liquefaction and geophysical assessments.
• Provide technical guidance to entry‑level engineers and ensure work aligns with budget and schedule.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• 3–5 years of professional geotechnical engineering experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (preferred).

Required skills

• Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software such as PLAXIS, GEO‑STUDIO, RS2, Sigma/W, Slope/W, Slide, Seep/W.
• Experience with design tools like Repute, Group, LPile, PDisp, Settle 3D, CPeT‑IT, CLiq, Liquefy‑Pro.
• Knowledge of UAE construction standards, soil conditions, and regional geotechnical considerations.
