Government Affairs Specialist (UAE National) - Abu Dhabi

About the role

Baker Hughes is looking for a Government Relations specialist (UAE national) in Abu Dhabi to act as the main liaison between the company and UAE government authorities. The role covers compliance with labor, immigration and corporate regulatory requirements, and supports business operations through strong relationships with government entities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee visas, work permits, Emirates IDs, labor contracts, visa renewals and cancellations through government authorities and online systems
• Coordinate company licensing, including permit applications, trade license renewals, establishment cards and document attestations
• Handle transactions on government portals such as MOHRE, ICP, MOFA, ADDED, TAMM, Abu Dhabi Chamber, Abu Dhabi Civil Defense, Abu Dhabi Police and Nafis
• Maintain accurate records, monitor document validity and track changes in labor, immigration, Emiratization and commercial regulations
• Support audits, inspections and compliance reviews, and mentor team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma from an accredited university or college
• Minimum of 5 years of government relations experience in the UAE
• Hands-on experience with UAE and Abu Dhabi government portals (TAMM, ADDED, MOHRE, ICP)
• Fluent written and spoken English and Arabic
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and prioritization skills; able to work independently with minimal supervision
