Graduate Engineer – Electrical or Mechanical (UAE National)

About the role

The Graduate Engineer (UAE National) will support electrical or mechanical building services design on major GCC developments, from concept through construction support. Working under senior engineers, you will develop core technical skills, learn Egis design governance, and gain exposure to UAE authorities and project sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design calculations, equipment schedules and sizing checks using project templates and approved software.
• Produce and mark‑up drawings, layouts and schematics; review BIM model outputs for discipline content.
• Draft sections of design reports, basis‑of‑design narratives and specifications.
• Attend internal design and BIM coordination meetings; track and close assigned clashes and comments.
• Coordinate with architecture, structure and other MEP disciplines on spatial and interface requirements.
• Follow Egis QA procedures, including self‑checks, document control and checking records, applying relevant codes and standards.

Required profile

• UAE National with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering (graduated within the last two years).
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Internship or co‑op experience with an engineering consultant, contractor or utility is desirable.
