Project Engineer (Civil) – Cost Estimation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer (Civil) to join our pre‑construction and estimating team in Dubai. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates, quantity take‑offs and supporting bid preparation for civil engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs from architectural, structural and civil drawings.
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for earthworks, foundations, concrete structures and infrastructure.
• Compile material and labour rate databases and produce bid documents, tender responses and cost proposals.
• Conduct value‑engineering studies and monitor actual project costs against estimates.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and maintain estimation records.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3‑4 years of professional experience in civil construction estimation and costing.
• Valid UAE driver’s license and G+12 DM approved license.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials and industry standards.
• Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost calculations.
• Experience with estimation software (e.g., Cost Estimation Software, CODA, Touchplan).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drawing interpretation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and civil drawings.
