Graduate Mechanical Engineer - Dry Utilities (Emirati National)

About the role

WSP in the Middle East is looking for a motivated Emirati National Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join its Dry Utilities Design team in the UAE. The role suits a recent graduate who wants hands-on experience, mentorship from senior engineers and exposure to world-class design practices while contributing to major infrastructure projects across the UAE.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design and documentation of dry utilities systems and infrastructure projects.
• Assist in preparing drawings, design calculations, reports and specifications under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Take part in coordination with multi-disciplinary teams so mechanical designs integrate well with wider infrastructure projects.
• Conduct research and support the development of innovative, sustainable engineering solutions.
• Help review local authority regulations and standards to ensure compliance in design outputs.
• Contribute to quality assurance and help maintain project documentation.
• Take part in training, workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Required profile

• UAE National with a valid Family Book.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in spoken and written Arabic and English.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced consultancy environment.

Required skills

• Good knowledge of engineering principles.
• Basic understanding of design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or similar.
