Key responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing process engineering deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, operating manuals, utility consumption summaries and heat and material balances.
  • Perform basic process calculations including material and energy balances, hydraulic calculations, relief valve calculations, line sizing and equipment sizing.
  • Support the development of process simulation models using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus or similar tools.
  • Take part in engineering studies such as process optimisation, debottlenecking, energy efficiency assessments and safety and operability reviews.
  • Help prepare and review engineering documents in line with project specifications, international standards and company procedures.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, civil and project management teams, and support client and vendor technical discussions.
  • Contribute to HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and other process safety workshops, and ensure work meets quality, health, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Participate in site visits, plant surveys and commissioning when required.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering.
  • Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, refining, energy or EPC projects.
  • Strong academic understanding of process engineering fundamentals.
  • Preferred: internship or academic project experience in oil and gas, energy, petrochemical or EPC environments, and exposure to process simulation software during studies.

Required skills

  • Knowledge of process engineering principles and calculations, and of international engineering standards and codes.
  • Understanding of process safety principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD, SmartPlant or AVEVA is an advantage.
  • Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to meet project deadlines.

Career development is offered through mentoring, on-the-job training and project participation, with progression toward Process Engineer and Senior Process Engineer positions. Applications are screened and matched by the recruiting team after submission.
