Graduate Trainee – Data Centre Specialist (UAE Only)

About the role

FutureX is launching a 12‑month Graduate Trainee Programme for ambitious Emirati graduates who want to shape the UAE’s digital future. As a Data Centre Specialist trainee you will rotate through design and implementation teams, gain industry‑recognised certifications and work on real‑world projects across the data‑centre and telecommunications portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with internal teams to plan, design and implement Electrical & Mechanical (E&M) infrastructure according to EITC standards.
• Evaluate vendor‑submitted E&M solutions, equipment and materials for compliance with project specifications.
• Review design documents, shop drawings and material submittals, recommending improvements where needed.
• Support the development and maintenance of EITC design standards for data‑centre and telecom facilities.
• Prepare and raise RFQs and purchase requisitions, following the approval process through to purchase orders.
• Respond to technical queries from vendors during tendering and evaluation stages.
• Provide technical expertise to internal teams on E&M systems and infrastructure.
• Assist day‑to‑day E&M requirements across departments and project teams.
• Ensure all installations meet quality, safety, reliability and operational standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify risks, resolve technical challenges and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Good knowledge of design tools such as MS Office, MS Visio, MS Project and AUTOCAD.
• Strong teamwork and cooperation abilities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Commitment to organisational goals and standards.
