Graduate Trainee – Regulatory Affairs (UAE)

About the role

The FutureX Graduate Trainee Programme at du offers a 12‑month accelerated development journey for ambitious Emirati graduates. As a Graduate Trainee in the Regulatory Affairs team, you will support du’s compliance with the Telecommunications Digital Government and Regulatory Authority (TDRA) and contribute to key regulatory projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support interface with TDRA’s Technical Affairs and du’s Technology, Commercial and Finance teams on regulatory obligations such as Internet access policy, mobile and fixed number portability, and numbering management.
• Assist in preparing submissions, correspondence and reports for TDRA requests, national crisis management projects, billing and CPR audits, and ad‑hoc regulatory reports.
• Monitor international regulatory developments, benchmark best practices and help develop planning processes to ensure timely compliance.
• Represent du’s Regulatory Affairs in meetings with TDRA, Etisalat and industry forums to influence outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Telecom Engineering, IT/Computer Science, International Relations or related fields.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team.
• Flexibility to travel on short notice to meetings in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
