Graphic & Motion Design Manager

About the role

Beanz, a coffee app that lets users pre-order drinks, earn rewards and send coffee gifts, is hiring an experienced Graphic & Motion Design Manager. This is a hands-on creative leadership role: you will do key work yourself while managing and developing a small team of junior graphic designers. You will raise creative standards, build design systems that scale and keep delivery fast and consistent across the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman. You report to the Marketing Head of Department and support the wider Marketing team.

Key responsibilities

• Own the quality, consistency and delivery of Beanz's creative output.
• Lead, manage and develop a small junior design team, coaching them and improving their craft, speed and creative judgment.
• Review, guide and approve work before delivery.
• Personally execute key graphic and motion projects, translating briefs into strong visual concepts and campaign systems.
• Build reusable templates across social, CRM, in-app and campaign channels.
• Design and oversee static, motion, short-form video and animation.
• Lead creative execution across Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube Shorts and digital campaigns.
• Oversee ATL/BTL including OOH, posters, stickers, roll-ups, flags and in-store branding, ensuring correct preparation for print, digital and production.
• Maintain consistency across typography, colour, imagery, layout and motion, and adapt creative across markets, languages and formats.
• Work closely with social, content, performance, product and commercial teams.
• Brief and manage freelancers, photographers, videographers, agencies and suppliers, and support and art-direct shoots and content production.
• Manage workloads, priorities, timelines and creative libraries.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience.
• Experience managing or mentoring junior designers.
• Strong portfolio across static, motion, social and campaign work.
• Excellent eye for layout, typography, composition, colour and hierarchy.
• Strong understanding of social-first and short-form content.
• Able to balance hands-on execution with team management.
• Comfortable giving clear feedback and improving creative quality.
• Strong understanding of brand systems and visual consistency.
• Experience managing multiple projects, deadlines and markets, in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Experience working with marketing, performance, social and content teams; agency, freelancer and production supplier experience preferred.
• Consumer, lifestyle, tech, startup or premium brand experience highly desirable.
• Strong English and Arabic; GCC experience preferred.

Required skills

• Design: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma, Canva.
• Motion and video: After Effects, Premiere Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve or similar.
• Creative leadership: art direction, creative briefing, team management, quality control, design systems, campaign adaptation, print production, workflow and asset management.
• AI proficiency: using tools such as ChatGPT, Google AI Studio, Midjourney, Runway, Veo, Sora and Adobe AI tools to improve quality, speed and workflows, guiding juniors on their use while keeping outputs original and on-brand.
