Ground School Instructor - BD-700

About the role

CAE is hiring a Ground School Instructor for its BD-700 position in Dubai. Instructor pilots prepare military aviators for critical missions, strengthening safety and readiness so that new recruits can perform well under pressure. The role covers delivering ground training, maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting courseware and training administration.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain instructor qualifications, approvals and currency in line with Approved Training Organisation (ATO) requirements, and exercise instructional privileges only when qualified and authorised.
• Deliver ground training through classroom instruction, Simfinity platforms, computer-based training (CBT), instructor-pilot training (IPT) and stand-up lectures, in a professional, learner-focused way.
• Facilitate aviation technical training according to approved courseware and lesson plans, and encourage trainee participation.
• Prepare and inspect classrooms, equipment, documentation and resources before each session, and keep accurate training records.
• Support examinations, assessments and knowledge evaluations, and deliver remedial training and coaching where needed.
• Review, maintain and recommend updates to courseware, presentations, manuals and training materials, and give feedback on course content and learner engagement.
• Support training operations, special projects and other duties reasonably assigned.

Preferred qualifications

• Previous experience as a Ground School Instructor, Technical Instructor, Aviation Trainer or Academic Instructor.
• Experience in an ATO, aviation training centre, airline training department, aircraft manufacturer or business aviation environment.
• Experience developing aviation courseware, CBT content or technical training materials.
• Knowledge of competency-based training methods and modern aviation learning technologies.
• Experience supporting examinations, assessments and regulatory-approved training programmes.
